The club’s first permanent course was designed by Willie Park Jr., a legendary Scottish golfer and architect. The current version, established in the 1940s (though one hole dates back to 1904), includes holes that play along the bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario, with the watery expansive visible on numerous shots designed by George Cumming, one of Canada’s best Golden Age architects. Most recently, the club has retained golf course architect, Christine Fraser to assist in the development of a golf course master plan. The quality of the design is why Golf Magazine added the course to its list of the Top 100 nine-hole facilities in the world and it was voted as the #1, 9-hole course in Canada by SCOREGolf Magazine in 2022.
