2024 Women’s British Open
This year’s Women’s British Open returns to this iconic course for the third time in 2024.  The staff bag and accessories honor the venue’s traditions dating all the way back to 1552 and celebrate Scotland’s fabled national pride.

Features:

Sacred Scottish Grounds
  • There’s no question where this year’s Women’s British Open is being played.  The white and blue Scottish flag stands out right away as the bold backdrop for this year’s bag.
  • On the sides of the bag, blue TaylorMade logos appear in blue stitching and are adorned by Scotland’s national flower, the green and pink thistle.  The inner linings of the pocket also celebrate the thistle’s pink color that’s woven into a tartan pattern.
  • On the side panels below the TaylorMade logo, a unicorn is featured.  According to ancient lore, the unicorn was the only animal capable of defeating England’s national animal, the lion.  A unicorn also appears on Scottish passports.
  • The staff bag’s front features some notable details that are closely tied to this year’s venue.  On the pink handle, the word ‘HOME’ appears and pays tribute to the storied course.
  • On the valuables pocket, a silhouette of the infamous St. Andrews Cathedral is shown.
  • The ball pocket features a portrait of Mary Queen of Scots, who is said to be the first woman to play a round of golf at the host venue in 1552.  The same year is found just above her portrait in white script to commemorate the occasion.
  • The host venue is also home to the first women’s golf club.  A tribute to the occasion shows up on the bag’s bottom with the year 1867 and the words ‘First Women’s Golf Club’ prominently featured.
  • On the back side of the bag is a heart with the initials W and K surrounding it on either side.  This pays respect to Prince William and Princess Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay who met while they attended university together in this host venue’s city.
